FREE Doula Support (Interest & Intake)

Service Description

Phone call or meeting to confirm interest and complete intake form for Maternity Care Coalition (MCC) to initiate service. This service is provided through MCC Doula and Lactation Program and is limited in scope to providing resources and moral support, attending the birth, lactation peer counseling, and basic observation of general physical and mental wellness during the prenatal, birth, and postpartum stages. The Maternity Care Coalition (MCC) Doula and Lactation Program is FREE for clients. My fee comes from funding through MCC. I will be accessible via text and phone from the time services are initiated through the 3rd postpartum visit. We will have up to 2 prenatal visits at client's preferred location at or near client's home and 3 postpartum (home or hospital) visits within 3 months after the birth. Additional lactation support is available as appropriate or requested. I will be on-call for the birth 24/7 from 38 weeks until labor begins and my presence is requested. Barring any unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, I (or my backup doula who you will have met before 37 weeks where applicable) will attend and support you through the entire labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum until you and baby are settled in your recovery room(s) and have had at least one newborn feeding. I bring a very simple toolkit aimed at keeping you comfortable, safe, empowered, focused, and in the flow for the duration of your birth process.
