Research Sources
It is important to use reliable sources when making choices from health and safety to finance, shopping and travel. Here is a running list of things to consider, widely trusted sites and jump off points for research, data, protocols, standards, practices, answering questions, and addressing concerns as you move through the ever-shifting world.
Most, if not every, department of the US and most local governments have .gov domain endings. You can look up most things you are wondering about or planning, to see what the official position and protocol is and go from there.
It's generally good to check several news outlets before believing anything. Also check small/independent and international ones to support or challenge mainstream media.
Most people don't know that you can see/find the IP addresses of people who communicate with you and from the IP address, you can geolocate down to the physical address. This is why we often use VPNs (virtual private network).
